Toei Animation and Funimation showed up at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 this week to reveal the new trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The new film pits Vegeta, Frieza, and Goku against the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly for the first time since the last time they defeated him.
The trailers reveal Broly showing up as a warrior for hire under the employment of a mysterious new character, and Dragon Ball’s three most powerful characters team up to bring him down. At the end of the trailer, Broly reaches enough power to achieve yet another new form of Super Saiyan.
Someone call Qui-Gon Jinn and get a midichlorian count on that guy!
Oddly enough, and I approve of this reaction, most fans are excited about Goku’s and Vegeta’s snow jackets than they are the action and impending showdown with Broly.
Just look at these things. They reek of classic Akira Toriyama art, back before he was forced to take himself so seriously.
Where can I get one?
Dragon Ball Super: Broly releases on Dec. 14, 2018, and Funimation will be bringing it to North American theaters in January 2019.
