Downton Abbey serves up a win at the box office

It would seem that not everyone was super anxious to finish off the latest Stephen King adaptation.

Downton Abbey took first place this week by a healthy margin. It has taken in $31M domestic, and $30.8 foreign for a global total of $61.8M.

Second place went to Ad Astra with $19.21M.

Rambo: Last Blood landed in third place with $19.01M off of a $50M budget.

Fourth place went to It: Chapter Two with $17.24M. Domestically it now sits at $179.16M, and $358.86M globally.

Hustlers landed in fifth place with $17M for a new domestic total of 62.55M off of a $20M budget.

Worth noting, The Goldfinch opened in eighth place with $2.64M. This marks the worst opening ever for a film debuting on 2,500 or more screens.

This week’s wide release will be Abominable.
