Walmart has a whole new section coming to its stores that will speak to the collector in all of us. Beginning the week of Oct. 15, 3,500 Walmart stores will be adding a dedicated collectibles section devoted to new and exclusive items.

To kick off this new initiative, Walmart has lined up some exciting exclusives already.

  • Funko will have exclusive chrome Thanos in six different colors, one for each of the Infinity Stones.
  • McFarlane Toys will have three exclusives
    • An exclusive line of NBA 2K19 figures
    • Three exclusive figures from EA SPORTS™ Madden NFL 19 Ultimate Team: Tom Brady, Dak Prescott, and Jason Witten
    • An Upside Down Will from Stranger Things
  • Walmart will be the exclusive retail home for Loot Crate boxes
  • CultureFly will have new boxes, each retailing for $19.88, with exclusive merchandise for:
    • Harry Potter
    • Fallout
    • Rick & Marty
    • PlayStation

Walmart has been stepping up its entries into the world of geek collectibles quite a bit this year. With the launch of its exclusive line of DC Giant-Sized issues, and this new collectibles area, it’s beginning to sound as though Walmart is going to have to become as much of an essential stop for geek shopping as hitting up your local comic shop.
