DC Collectibles is launching a new statue line that is going to be a ton of fun. The new Dark Nights: Metal statue line will be made up of 7-inch figures of the various Batmen from around the multiverse.
Kicking things off will be The Dawnbreaker, the Batman of Earth-32. He was chosen by a Green Lantern ring to become the ring-slinger for his sector, but the darkness inside of him overpowered the ring and eventually the entire Green Lantern Corps.
The new line is going to feature some firsts for DC Collectibles including interchangeable parts, shaped bases so you can change display configurations, and more.
“We wanted to celebrate DC’s successful run of the Metal series through this statue line,” explained DC Collectibles’ creative executive director, Jim Fletcher. “It’s thrilling to see Capullo’s Batmen designs to come to life in 3-D form and we think fans will really enjoy the intricate details and customizable accessories and bases. While not poseable, these statues are basically in scale with all our previous Capullo action figures, so they will be great companion pieces when they are all displayed together.”
The Dawnbreaker will kick off the product line in May 2019 with a suggested retail price of $85. Other planned figures for the line include The Red Death, The Drowned, The Murder Machine, The Merciless, The Devastator, and, of course, the Batman Who Laughs.
