Paul Feig is best known for directing comedies, but now he’s breaking into thrillers with his next project, A Simple Favor.
Based on Darcey Bell’s novel of the same name, it appears this film goes down the road of similar thrillers such as Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train. Who knows what is going at any time, and whose side anyone is really on.
A great cast with a good director, we’d be lying if we didn’t admit to being intrigued by this one.
A SIMPLE FAVOR, directed by Paul Feig, centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily’s husband Sean (Henry Golding) in this stylish thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge.
A Simple Favor hits theaters on Sept. 14.
