It seems that despite only being eight episodes, Stranger Things 3 is going to take a little longer to hit our TVs than anyone originally thought.
Speaking at the summer The Critics Association conference, Netflix execs announced that Stranger Things 3 won’t hit the service until Summer 2019.
“It’s a handcrafted show. The Duffer brothers [series creators] and Shawn Levy have worked really hard, and they understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than what they did last year. And so they really want to take the time to get it right,” said Netflix’s VP or original content, Cindy Holland.
While no release date had been announced up to this point, it had been assumed it would be some time in the Spring of 2019. For now, we’ll just have to enjoy the Starcourt Mall teaser that was released previously.
