Sonic the Hedgehog wins the weekend box office

Birds of Prey came in second with $17.11M, a drop of 48% from its opening weekend. The new domestic total now sits at $59.27M. Globally it has reached $142.87M off of an estimated budget of $84.5M.

Third place went to Fantasy Island with $12.4M off of an estimated budget of $7M.

The Photograph landed in fourth place with $12.27M.

Fifth place this weekend went to Bad Boys for Life with $11.3M domestic for a new total of $181.32M. Its global total sits at $368.32M.

This week’s wide releases will be Brahms: The Boy II and The Call of the Wild.
