Freaky takes the top spot on an abysmal weekend as the coronavirus continues to surge across the U.S.

Freaky, the latest Blumhouse horror film, took in $1.22M for a new domestic total of $5.59M and a global total of $9.24M.

Second place went to The War With Grandpa  with $733K. It now sits at $16.18M domestically and $22.03M globally.

Let Him Go landed in third place with $710K for a new domestic total of $7.92M.

Fourth place went to Come Play with $550K for a new domestic total of $8.05M.

The rerelease of The Santa Clause rounded out the top five with $461K.

There are no signs of the coronavirus slowing down, and the film situation certainly doesn’t look like it will be improving in the coming weeks. But even by those standards, this weekend was not good. With only one film to even break $1M, one has to wonder how the theaters are going to be able to keep their doors open in the coming weeks.
