Good Boys scores a win at the box office

An R-rated, original comedy, took the top spot at the box office. We’re just as amazed as you are.

Good Boys took the top spot at the box office this weekend with $21M off of a $20M budget.

Second place went to Hobbs & Shaw with $14.14M for a new domestic total of $133.74M. Globally it now sits at $437.04M off of a $200M budget.

The Lion King took third place with $11.9M at the U.S. box office bringing its domestic total to $496.1M. It has taken in $939.1M at the foreign box office for a global total of $1.435B.

Fourth place went to The Angry Birds Movie 2 with $10.5M off of a budget of $65M.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark takes in $10.05M for a new domestic total of $40.21M, and a global total of $54.34M off of a budget of $25M.

This week’s wide releases include Ready or Not and Angel has Fallen.
