The first trailer for Star Trek Picard has arrived and begins giving us some clues as to what Jean-Luc has been up to.
The new trailer for Picard takes us back to the Picard vineyard, and only gives us the briefest of glimpses of Jean-Luc (Patrick Stewart).
It’s clear that something we are unaware of happened after the end of Star Trek: The Next Generation. We get confirmation that Picard became an Admiral, led a fleet… and then something caused him to leave Starfleet.
Clearly, this will be the major plot of the series moving forward. If anything, his eyes look haunted in the brief shot we see of him, so it’s doubtful that anything good happened. (Not that we ever thought that was the case.)
Picard is filming now, and we’re still waiting to hear an official release date.
