John Wick Chapter 3 had a great opening weekend at the box office, and it appears it was good enough to give a fourth movie the greenlight already.
Fans who were signed up for text notifications from the John Wick account received the following message on Monday afternoon:
You have served. You will be of service. John Wick: Chapter 4 is coming – May 21, 2021.
One would have to assume everyone involved already has a pretty good idea where the fourth chapter will be heading already to so confidently announce a release date a mere two years away.
As we all know, Keanu Reeves is off to film Bill & Ted Face the Music fairly soon, but one imagines this will be his next project after that.
Reeves will turn 55-years-old this Sept., so one has to wonder how much longer he can physically keep playing Wick. We’ll keep watching them as long as they keep making them, but at some point the body says enough no matter how willing the spirit may be.
John Wick Chapter 4 will hit theaters on May 21, 2021. John Wick Chapter 3 is in theaters now.
