Based on the infamous case of Lizzie Borden, Lizzie is a new take on the legend.
Making its debut at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Lizzie has been earning great reviews, and it is now heading to release in select theaters.
We haven’t had a chance to check it out for ourselves yet here at The Nerdy, but it certainly doesn’t look as though it will win our award for “Feel Good Hit of 2018.” It does, however, look intriguing and we can’t wait to check it out.
After a lifetime of loneliness, Lizzie (Chloë Sevigny) finds a kindred spirit in housemaid Bridget Sullivan (Kristen Stewart) and their secret intimacy sparks an unthinkable act.
Lizzie hits select theaters on Sept. 14.
