Ghostbusters returning theaters for a limited engagement

The original Ghostbusters is heading back to theaters in a limited engagement to celebrate its 35th anniversary.

(We won’t tell them the date already passed by as we reviewed it on its 35th anniversary)

Fathom Events will be hosting two rounds of screenings at 600 theaters on Oct. 6 and Oct. 10. The special screenings will include introductions from members of the cast as well as showings of recently discovered scenes and alternate takes of famous lines.

This is good timing to get this in everyone’s mindset as a third film directed by Jason Reitman is currently in production with a scheduled release date of July 10, 2020.

We have to say, Fathom Events has been killing it lately with some of its screenings. Now that technology allows for special screenings such as this, we can only hope this happens with an increasing frequency.
