DC FanDome delivered in a big way showing off the best parts of what is coming up for DC films.

While there was a lot of news, trailers were definitely the centerpiece and were sprinkled throughout the day.

The entire event kicked off with a new look at the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984.

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 2, but we do suggest you do not consider that to be set in stone at this time.

While production has yet to begin, Dwayne Johnson showed off the first teaser for his Black Adam film that has been in development for a decade.

Black Adam is currently scheduled to release on Dec. 22, 2021, but that is almost certain to change.

James Gunn was able to complete filming of The Suicide Squad just before coronavirus lockdowns went into place.

After endless teasing, James Gunn finally revealed the characters of the film.

  • Steve Agee – King Shark
  • Flula Borg – Javelin
  • Alice Braga – Sol Soria
  • Peter Capaldi – The Thinker
  • John Cena – Peacemaker
  • Jai Courtney – Captain Boomerang
  • Pete Davidson – Blackguard
  • David Dastmalchian – Polka-Dot Man
  • Viola Davis – Amanda Waller
  • Idris Elba – Bloodsport
  • Nathan Fillion – T.D.K.
  • Sean Gunn – Weasel
  • Joel Kinnaman – Rick Flag
  • Daniela Melchior – Ratcatcher 2
  • Mayling Ng – Mongal
  • Storm Reid – Tyla
  • Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn
  • Michael Rooker – Savant

The roll call was then followed up by a behind-the-scenes look.

The Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters on Aug. 6, 2021.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is finally going to be released to HBO Max in 2021, and that mens a new trailer.

Snyder debuted a new trailer showing off his vision of the film that was theatrically released in a very different form.

During the program, Snyder revealed that the film will be released on HBO Max in four one-hour installments. There will be an option later to watch them as one movie.

If you are outside of the United States, Snyder did say that distribution deals are being worked out for anywhere without HBO Max.

The cap to the day was a presentation about Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Despite having to shut down production in March due to the coronavirus with only 30% of the film completed, they were still able to assemble a trailer.

Currently, The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on Oct. 1, 2021.

Overall, DC FanDome was an amazing success despite being completely virtual. Another edition of the event will take place on Sept. 12 with a heavy focus on television projects.
