If you were a child in the 1990s, it is almost a certainty you were a fan of the animated X-Men series. Would you like to see some new stories from that series? Well, you just might.

Producer Larry Houston spoke this weekend at a virtual Wizard World panel where he revealed a pitch has been made to Disney to revive the series. The plan would be to “continue where we left off.”

Houston went on to say, “We’ve had talks, but that’s about it. We’ve made conversation and it’s up to them to make the decision, but we’ve let them know that we’re all available for whatever they want to do in the future.”

Since the series ended, Houston has gone into semi-retirement, but he says he would come back if it was the original cast and crew. “Whatever they wanted to do if we had all the original team. That’s what I would come out of retirement for.”

While some cast have already said they would be willing to return, one key member may be too busy. Lenore Zann – who portrayed Rogue – is currently serving as Member of Parliament for the riding of Cumberland—Colchester in the House of Commons of Canada. Voice over work isn’t the same as shooting a movie, so perhaps she could return, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

The original series is currently available on Disney Plus.
