On Tuesday, Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano both confirmed that they would be reviving their respective roles as Tony Micelli and Samantha Micelli. The unnamed series will pickup 30 years after the original series and will have Samantha living in the house from the original series as a single mother.

As of right now, Judith Light (Angela) and Danny Pintauro (Jonathan) are not attached to the series, but have voiced their support for the project. Sony Television, which will be producing the series, has stated it hopes to find ways to work both of them into the revival.

Katherine Helmond (Mona), passed away in 2019.

The original series ran for 196 episodes over eight seasons, ending in 1992.

Sony has not yet found a home for a series, but plans to eventually shop it around to various outlets along with the original eight seasons. With the number of streaming outlets currently searching for content, this feels as though it will be a very easy and lucrative sale once it goes up for offers.

No word on a timeline for the launch as of yet.
