When Scott Lang ventured into the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp, he nearly wore a completely different suit. According to Marvel Studios artist Andy Park, the new suit would’ve shown audiences more of Rudd’s face, rather than the helmet that’s more Stormtrooper-like.
Park shared an image of the suit on Twitter, saying director Peyton Reed asked him to come up with alternate Quantum suit designs. The suit itself doesn’t look at that different than what Ant-Man wears throughout his most recent adventure, but there are some subtle differences.
I actually dig the helmet’s larger visor, but I imagine that would’ve been more expensive for Marvel to execute. Even still, it’s fun to see what other designs Marvel had in mind when Scott dives in the Quantum Realm, where’s he’s currently stranded following Thanos’ snap.
Ant-Man alternate suit I designed on #AntManandtheWasp An early idea was floating around that Scott might be going to the Quantum Realm so Peyton wanted me to come up with a Quantum suit & being able to see that pretty Rudd face too?
