Jungle Cruise trailer – It’s the backside of water!

You have to hand it to Disney. Judging by this Jungle Cruise trailer, the studio did indeed find a way to make yet another movie about a theme park ride interesting.

It also found a way to just quickly acknowledge the theme park ride and even give us the infamous, “It’s the backside of water!” joke you hear every time you enjoy the ride.

Considering the ride is a series of corny jokes, turning it into a full-length movie was going to be a bit of a trick. It appears that the idea here is Dwayne Johnson‘s Frank is the prototype of the Jungle Cruise captain you encounter on the ride itself. The rest of it looks like a fun Indiana Jones-style romp with Emily Blunt leading the way as the adventurous Lily.

Count us in as it just looks like a blast.

Inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride, Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE is an adventure-filled, Amazon-jungle expedition starring Dwayne Johnson as the charismatic riverboat captain and Emily Blunt as a determined explorer on a research mission. Also starring in the film are Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

Jungle Cruise hits theaters July 24, 2020.
