Ford v Ferrari races to a win at the box office

It was another unexceptional weekend at the fall box office.

First place went to Ford v Ferrari with $31.03 million in its opening weekend.

Midway took second place with $8.75M for a new domestic total of $35.14M off of a budget of $59.5M. Globally it has hit $64.04M.

Third place went to Charlie’s Angels with $8.6M in its first weekend.

Playing with Fire landed in fourth place with $8.55M for a new domestic total of $25.49M.

Fifth place went to Last Christmas with $6.7M for a new domestic total of $22.57M and a global haul of $35.57M off of a budget of $30M.

This week’s wide releases will be 21 Bridges, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, and Frozen II.
