As the coronavirus pandemic took hold across the world, No Time to Die was one of the first movies to change its release date. Since that time it has moved moved more than once with the last time moving it out of 2020 completely to April 2021.
On Thursday it was announced that No Time to Die has now moved to Oct. 8, 2021, more than a year-and-a-half after its original release date that was set in April 2020.

Rumors have been circulating for days that this move was coming and it was only a matter of time until it happened. With this film now on the move we expect a cascade of additional release date changes. Most experts are currently predicting that anything currently scheduled before July 2 is a candidate for further delays.
With overflow 2020 films on the books, and 2021 films in the hopper as well, we expect to see a lot of films begin to make their moves to 2022 as there are only so many weekends.
No matter how fast a vaccine may roll out at this point, it will still be a year or more before we see the movie industry return to any semblance of normality when it comes to release schedules.
