The final X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer has been released, and we’re finally seeing Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) releasing her powers. How will the X-Men deal with it? We’ll just have to wait and see.
This film looks as though it will mark the end of this current iteration of the X-Men films. With the Disney purchase of 21st Century Fox being completed, the future of the X-Men on film is very much up in the air. Marvel Studios doesn’t appear to be in a rush to add the mutants to the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to how far in advance everything has been planned out.
The X-Men and all of their mutant ilk will make their way into the larger MCU at some point, we just don’t know when it will be quite yet.
For now, enjoy your last outing with the X-Men as it may be a while before we see them again.
