The first Deadwood trailer has arrived, and it’s as if we never left the dirty little town.

Considering it has been 13 years since the series left the air at HBO, it is amazing how much this looks like the same set that was used back then. This was actually named as the pain point over the years as to why the movie didn’t happen. The cost of rebuilding the town set was going to be enormous, so we’re not sure what finally sold HBO on the idea.
If you’ve never watched the series, we can’t remember it highly enough. It is definitely not for those who don’t like strong language, violence, or nudity, but if you can take those as part of storytelling, it is one of the finest TV shows ever made.
The Deadwood movie will premiere on HBO on May 31.
