Black Widow movie reportedly adds Florence Pugh in major role

According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, Florence Pugh (Fighting With My Family) is in talks to join the upcoming Black Widow movie.

Marvel Studios has still yet to officially announce that a Black Widow movie is in the works, but more and more informations eems to creep out by the day. Scarlett Johansson is, of course, on board in the lead role, and Australian filmmaker Cate Shortland (Lore) is said to be directing the film. Not only is this film moving forward, but it will reportedly begin filming in June in London.

While plot details are very much under lock and key, Pugh is reportedly close to signing on to the co-lead role opposite Johansson as a spy on the same level as her. No word yet on who she may be working for or if she is possibly a known villain from the comics.

Johansson’s Black Widow will next be seen in Avengers: Endgame, and it’s seeming safe to say she make it through alive.
