Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse is finally out on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K, and this is one you’re going to want to add to your collection for sure.

There isn’t much you can say about one of the most beloved animated movies in recent memory. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse is a brilliant take on the characters, and it was more than deserving of its Academy Award.

Bringing the film home is an even more delightful experience as you can freeze frame it wherever you please and enjoy the amazing artistry that went into this film. From the different styles used for each character, to just the amazing backgrounds, the overall film is a visual delight.

But what would a home video release be without the extras? Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse has plenty of them, and each of them is worth a watch. If we had any complaint, it would be the fake voice-over recording sessions they use to fill in some gaps are glaringly obvious and a tad awkward with the cast, but not deal breakers.

All of the extras are worth a watch, but the tribute to Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, especially coming only months after Lee’s passing, and Ditko also having passed in 2018, it just felt a bit too fresh. The tribute is lovely, but you may want tissues handy.

As Blu-ray releases go, this is a wonderful package, and one you should be thrilled to add to your collection.
