The late and great Satoshi Kon’s original feature-length masterpiece Perfect Blue is celebrating twenty years of psychological thrills and making audiences question what is real and what is not.
To celebrate this landmark date, QKIDS and Fathom Events have teamed up to bring a brand new digital transfer of the film to 500 theaters across North America on Sept.6 and Sept. 10. Check QKIDS’ interactive map to see if the film is playing near you.

Rising pop star Mima has quit singing to pursue a career as an actress and model, but her fans aren’t ready to see her go… Encouraged by her managers, Mima takes on a recurring role on a popular TV show, when suddenly her handlers and collaborators begin turning up murdered. Director Satoshi Kon is widely regarded as one of the greatest anime directors of all time. After striking success with Perfect Blue, he went on to direct other classic films Millenium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika and his own 13-episode series, Paranoia Agent.
Sadly, Kon passed away in 2010 before finishing his film, Dreaming Machine.
