Transformers are showing they can be rough and tumble for the younger set with the Optimus Prime Jumbo Jet Wing Racer Playset. The massive Optimus Prime figure clocks in at 15-inches tall and comes with a 4.5-inch Bumblebee as well.
Optimus transforms from his robot mode to a Jumbo Jet in about three moves, and the Bumblebee transforms in just one move. In his car form, the yellow hero can also fit in one of Optimus’ arms so he can be carried into battle.
Everything about this figure feels safe for kids, and the overall figure seems pretty sturdy. We experienced a tiny bit of frustration with how exactly you place the ramp to let Bumblebee slides down it, but something tells us that had a lot more to do with our age than the design of the toy.
