The first She-Ra trailer has arrived, and it definitely is mixing what we know and love with a more modern sensibility.
The trailer gives us a decent look at the titular character, but beyond that we’re not sure what the plan is for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Has she been working unwittingly for Hordak her entire life? Is she still He-Man’s sister? We just don’t know yet. With her mentioning Grayskul during her transformation, it seems safe to bet there is an Eternia somewhere in the story.
Her transformation is the most notable thing here in that has a definite anime magical girl series vibe to it. This wouldn’t feel out of place at all in an episode of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power will debut on Netflix on Nov. 16.
