Marvel Studios likes to announce things well in advance. We knew when the Infinity War movies would be out years before they were actually in theaters. And yet, until today we didn’t know anything about the future of the MCU beyond Spider-Man: Far from Home because the team at Marvel knows how rough spoilers can be, and how important it was for Infinity War and Endgame to feel like the end of something. Now, though, we have some dates – four exact, and six rough – to mark down on our nerd calendars with some surprising names. Some of these are definitely movies, but some are likely the upcoming slate of Disney+ shows, like Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
The MCU moves into Phase 4 officially on May 1, 2020, and things are off to the races from there:
May 1, 2020 –
Black Widow
Fall 2020 – Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Disney+)
November 6, 2020 – The Eternals
Spring 2021 – Wandavision (Disney+)
February 12, 2021 – Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
May 7, 2021 – Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness
Spring 2021 – Loki (Disney+)
Summer 2021 – What If… (Disney+)
Fall 2021 – Hawkeye (Disney+)
November 5, 2021 – Thor: Love and Thunder
Count’em up – that’s ten Marvel events planned. Feige and co. also mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, Blade, and Fantastic Four.
Are you ready? I’m not ready.
