The Eternals officially confirm cast and release date

Marvel Studios took to the stage at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday and confirmed Phase 4 of its films, and finally announced The Eternals.

The cast was announced to include Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee. The movie will be directed by Chloé Zhao.

So far we know Hayek will be playing Ajax, the leader of the Eternals. Meanwhile, Jolie, who has been rumored to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for years, will be playing Thena. No word yet on the rest of the very large cast.

In the comics, The Eternals are a race of ancient humans who were experimented on by aliens. They have a range of powers from super-strength to energy projection.

The Eternals will hit theaters on Nov. 6, 2020.
