Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom won a second weekend at the box office, but the numbers are clear it won’t live up to the previous film.
The latest film in the Jurassic series, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, took in $60M in its second weekend. This brings its total in the U.S. to $264.78M. While a very healthy total after 10 days, that is a full $138M behind 2015’s Jurassic World after 10 days of release. Foreign results have brought in $667.6M for a global total of $932.38M off of a $170M budget.
Incredibles 2 landed in second place with $45.54M. It now sits at $439.72M in the U.S. and globally it has hit $646.82M.
Third place went to Sicario: Day of the Soldado which took in $19M off of a $35M budget.
Uncle Drew opened in fourth place to $15.5M.
Rounding out the top five was Ocean’s 8 which took in $8.03M. It now stands at $114.7M domestically and $209.7M globally off of a $70M budget.
This week will see the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp and The First Purge. It’s pretty obvious what will win the week.
