It seems that John Wick needs a bit more time to prepare for his next big fight as the movie has moved its release date back by 10 months.
As the world of movie scheduling continues to try to sort itself out following the pandemic, yet another release date has changed. John Wick: Chapter 4 has moved from May 27, 2022 to March 24, 2023. The news was announced via a teaser video.
The suspicion is that this was done due to Paramount Pictures having rescheduled Top Gun: Maverick to the May 27 date. Despite the recent success of Spider-Man: No Way Home has enjoyed, most films are still scraping for every dollar they can get. It wouldn’t be wise for these two films to go head-to-head in the kickoff to the all-important summer movie going season.
Something tells us fans of the John Wick series will be able to wait this out, but no one said we’ll be happy about it.
John Wick: Chapter 4 will hit theaters on March 24, 2023.
