Another Doctor has ended their time in the TARDIS as Jodie Whitaker has wrapped production.

Whitaker and Mandip Gill have both completed filming on Doctor Who. Whitaker announced earlier this year that she was departing the role after her third season, and three specials set to air in 2022. She wrapped production on the third special on Wednesday.
Besides Whitaker and Gill, showrunner Chris Chibnall is also departing the series. It was later announced that former showrunner Russell T. Davies will be returning to the series.
Now the mystery becomes who will replace Whitaker and become the fourteenth Doctor. As Whitaker has wrapped production, one can presume that she has filmed her regeneration scene, but that doesn’t mean that the replacement was involved. So far as anyone is aware, the hunt is just beginning for the new Doctor.
Whitaker’s final season as the Doctor is set to debut on Oct. 31.
