Hasbro has had a long and successful run with Star Wars, and it’s not stopping any time soon.
At Toy Fair 2020 the company showed off a wide range of products, but the centerpiece, literally, was the animatronic The Child from The Mandalorian. From closing eyes, using Force powers, and wiggling years, there is no doubt he will be a hot product this holiday season.
Also shown off was the Dark Saber role-play toy which looked fantastic. Meanwhile, vehicles from the Mandalorian are joining the Vintage Collection.
The Black Series has become a staple of the Star Wars toy line, and it is getting a massive amount of new figures in 2020. Just about every era of the Star Wars story will be touched on throughout this year’s releases.
2020 also marks the 40th anniversary of the Empire Strikes Back, and to celebrate Black Series figures specific to that film will be released on large versions of their Kenner cards from the original release.
Wrapping things up, we’ll see a lot of new products for the younger Star Wars fan including Battle Wobblers, Galaxy of Adventure, and the all-new Mission Fleet line.
Mission Fleet will see you playing out specific missions included with each item, but then you can use interchangeable pieces between the different vehicles. The vehicles will be a key part of this product line and will allow kids to have a much more affordable barrier to entry into playing with various Star Wars vehicles.
With no new films on the horizon, one would imagine Hasbro might take a bit of a breather this year, but it doesn’t appear fans will get any such break.
