Sonic races to a second win at the box office

No matter how bad your initial marketing may have been, sometimes you can still overcome it.

First place for the weekend went to Sonic the Hedgehog with $26.3M. The domestic total now stands at $106.6M and globally it sits at $149.54M off of a $90M budget.

The Call of the Wild came in second with $24.82M.

Third place went Birds of Prey with $7M. The new domestic total now sits at $72.52M. Globally it has reached $173.72M off of an estimated budget of $84.5M.

Brahms: The Boy II landed in fourth place with $5.9M.

Fifth place this weekend went to Bad Boys for Life with $5.86M domestic for a new total of $191.17M. Its global total sits at $391.17M.

This week’s wide releases will be The Invisible Man and Emma.
