CW holds new seasons until Jan. 2021

While countries may slowly be lifting coronavirus restrictions, film and television productions still have a long way to go. That’s clearly evident in the new schedule released by The CW for the upcoming season.

On Wednesday, The CW released its 2020/2021 television season schedule, and it’s very much about 2021. When the fall season rolls around, the only returning hour-long drama will be the final episodes of Supernatural. The series had more episodes shot than have been shown so far, and they are only awaiting some post-production work.

The fall will also be where The CW will run its recently acquired Swamp Thing season it purchased from DC Universe.

FOURTH QUARTER

Monday

  • 8 p.m.: Whose Line Is It Anyway?
  • 8:30 p.m.: Whose Line Is It Anyway?
  • 9 p.m.: Penn & Teller: Fool Us

Tuesday

  • 8 p.m.: Swamp Thing
  • 9 p.m.: Tell Me A Story

Wednesday

  • 8 p.m.: Two Sentence Horror Stories
  • 8:30 p.m.: Dead Pixels
  • 9 p.m. Coroner

Thursday

  • 8 p.m.: Supernatural
  • 9 p.m.: The Outpost

Friday

  • 8 p.m.: World’s Funniest Animals
  • 8:30 p.m.: World’s Funniest Animals
  • 9 p.m.: Penn & Teller: Fool Us (encores)

Sunday

  • 8 p.m.: Masters of Illusion
  • 8:30 p.m.: Masters of Illusion
  • 9 p.m.: Pandora

Once 2021 finally rolls around, all of the Arrowverse shows will return and they will be joined by Superman & Lois.

This reconfigured airing of shows will also lead to a much smaller DC crossover than we saw with Crisis on Infinite Earths. The only two shows to be involved will be Superman & Lois and Batwoman.
