Netflix has ordered two more ‘parts’ of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. We’re not entirely sure why Netflix went with this naming scheme as of late with using ‘parts’ instead of seasons, but part 3 & part 4 will each consist of eight episodes and will begin filming in 2019.
The pickup comes ahead of the part 2 debut on April 5, but days after the premiere of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale.
Creator and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa quote: “Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television, and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch. And I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”
The new order does show a drop in the episode count from the orders for parts 1 and 2 which were pegged at 10 episodes each. We don’t see it as a lack of faith and is probably just a more manageable production schedule.
No word yet on when Chilling Adventures of Sabrina parts 3 & 4 will debut, but we would imagine it to be fall 2019 at the earliest.
