Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy appeared at the Disney Investor Day to share numerous updates about the Star Wars universe. First up were two new series: Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic. Ahsoka will follow the almost-Jedi that we met in live-action in The Mandalorian. No details were shared on Rangers of the New Republic.
Both of these new series will take place during the same time as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and they will culminate in a crossover event series.
Star Wars: Andor was confirmed to finally be filming in the U.K. and the 12-part series is scheduled for release on Disney Plus in 2022. This story will, as stated before, serve as a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Star Wars: The Acolyte is the name of the highly secretive series from Leslye Headland. The series will deal with the final days of the High Republic timeline which is about 200 years before the original Star Wars. It will focus on the emerging dark-side in the galaxy.
More details were finally revealed on Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. While not many details were shared, it was revealed that Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader in the event series.
A total surprise was the announcement of Star Wars: Lando and is in early development from Dear White People creator Justin Simien. No comment was made if Donald Glover will play the charismatic con man once again.
In animated fare, Star Wars: Visions will be an anthology series handled by the biggest anime studios of Japan. Star Wars: A Droid Story will show an unknown tale of C-3P0 and R2-D2.
Star Wars Films
Only two films were mentioned, with one of them being the previously announced Taika Waititi project. The second was a complete surprise, and that is a Patty Jenkins directed Star Wars: Rogue Squadron that will follow new pilots working their way up in the infamous Rogue Squadron. Jenkins already released a video explaining her vision for the film.

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron will hit theaters on Christmas Day 2023.
It looks as though we will be spending a lot of time in a galaxy far, far away for some time.
