We already knew that a fourth Thor movie is on the way, but now we already know the release date, and the cast. And, yes, Natalie Portman is back, and she will be Lady Thor.
During the Marvel Studios panel on Saturday night, Taika Waititi announced the title will be Thor: Love and Thunder. He followed this up with the cast coming out. First, it was Chris Hemsworth, and then Tessa Thompson was confirmed to be back. She added, “As new king (of Asgard), she needs to find her queen. That will be the first order of business.”
And then the big surprise: Not only is Natalie Portman returning, but she will be Lady Thor. When she came out on stage, Waititi presented her with Mjolnir.
We have no idea what the plot of the film is yet, but with this team on it, and with that title, we’re very much on board with this movie.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on Nov. 5, 2021.
