This Is the Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Marvel Should’ve Released

We’ve already praised the music used in the trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Turns out, the re-worked version of Debussy’s “Clair De Lune” works perfectly with Avengers: Infinity War, too.

YouTube channel CarpenterSound cut a trailer for Avengers: Infinity War in the same vein as Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and it works surprisingly well. When the vocal swell hits it conjures up the same emotional punch. The mix of beautiful visuals, important story elements, and intriguing moments works so well with the music.

I suppose in the right hands “Clair De Lune” could elevate any media it’s paired with. But it seems to be particularly suited for movie trailers. The trailers Marvel released for Avengers: Infinity War were already good, but the one above is so much more emotionally arresting.

Of course, it features a few key moments that wouldn’t have made it passed the cutting room floor for fear of spoilers. But CarpenterSound’s editing perfectly suits the backing track. And the channel’s dubbing the video “Thanos: King of the Titans” is equally suiting.
