Tommy Wiseau, the actor, director, writer, producer and financier of The Room, is a man of many talents and he’s back tackling one of the most iconic movie roles in one of the most iconic movie scenes in cinema history—The Dark Knight’s interrogation scene.
The scene shot as a short film for Nerdist included his The Room co-star Greg Sestero as both take on the intense Batman and Joker scene. Wiseau plays Joker and Sestero plays Batman. Wiseau delivers a tour de force while Sestero leaves a lot to be desired with his squeaky voice, but it was still an intriguing and impressive recreation.
Wiseau still has his signature accent, but it surprisingly plays well with the character. That on top of his impressive makeup rounds out the character. We really enjoyed Wiseau’s interpretation of Heath Ledger’s take on the Joker. He didn’t try too hard to follow it beat for beat, instead infusing it with his own unique characteristics that actually provided a new dimension.
