Shazam takes the top spot at the box office

Not every top movie is always a celebration when it misses its targets.

Shazam! took the top spot this weekend with $53.45M and now stands at $158.77M globally off of a $100M budget.

Second place went to Pet Sematary with $25M. Globally it sits at $42.3M off of a $21M budget.

Dumbo landed in third place with $18.22M, bringing its domestic total to $76.27M. Globally it has hit $213.77M off of a $170M budget.

Fourth place went to Us with $13.81M for a new domestic total of $152.39M. Globally it has hit $216.59M off of a $20M budget.

Coming in fifth was Captain Marvel. The film took in $12.68M domestic for a new total of $374.13M. The global total sits at $1.037B.

This week’s wide-release will be After, Hellboy, Little, and Missing Link.
