The Pokemon Company made an appearance at Toy Fair 2019 in support of the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie and the ongoing trading card game and products.
It’s hard to believe how strong this brand is still going, but it certainly doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Funko is producing a monthly Pop! figure beginning this month with a Pikachu celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. There is a slew of new product on the way to support the movie. And there seems to be something going on at all times related to this property.
The Pokemon Center website is going to have product soon to support things we saw in the Detective Pikachu trailer, not to mention the movie once it hits screens.
Also on display were the next three cards coming to the trading card game that will feature images from the film. Be on the lookout for Jigglypuff, Mr. Mime, and Psyduck. We were provided with high-res images in addition to the photos we took in the booth.
It looks as though 2019 is going to be a huge year for Pokemon, and probably for many more years to come.
