The rumors were true, Ewan McGregor is back for Obi-Wan Kenobi in an all-new series on Disney Plus.
During the Star Wars portion of the Disney Plus presentation at D23, it was finally revealed that an Obi-Wan Kenobi is indeed happening. The scripts are already written and filming will begin in early 2020.
A timeline was shown on screen at the presentation and the series will take place after Revenge of the Sith, but before Solo: A Star Wars Story. This would place it about five years after he arrived on Tatooine with Luke, and well before the time of his appearance in Star Wars: Rebels.
Absolutely nothing is known about what the storyline will be, but this will easily be one of the most anticipated series coming to Disney Plus.
