Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 may be a ways off, and Doctor Strange 2 isn’t even confirmed, but that isn’t stopping someone from spilling the beans on them.
On Dec. 5, 2018 a mystery Twitter account showed up under the name Roger Wardell. The account posted a lot of information about upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, and then it disappeared.
Then something interesting happened in April 2019: Everything it posted about Avengers: Endgame was correct. Here’s a good example:
Brock Rumlow and Jack Rollins return in Avengers 4 in a recreation style scene of the famous elevator scene in Winter Soldier but there's a MAJOR difference in this one.#mcu #avengers4 #crossbones #wintersoldier #marvelleaks #marvelspoilere #hydra
— Roger Wardell (@RogerWardell) December 5, 2018
If you’ve seen the movie, then you get how correct they were.
All of a sudden the account has tweeted twice more. One was about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and the other is about Doctor Strange 2. Considering how accurate they were in the past we are going to suggest you treat these as spoilers for now and we will give you a gallery of spacing to decide if you ish to continue reading.
Doctor Strange 2 Spoilers
Here is the tweet about Doctor Strange 2.
Doctor Strange 2: 1980's Boogaloo. Tilda Swinton is in talks to return as the Ancient One. Jericho Drumm and Clea will make their MCU debuts, Clea will likely be portrayed by an Asian actress. Most importantly the gloves will be back!
— Roger Wardell (@RogerWardell) May 7, 2019
Jericho Drumm is better known as Brother Voodoo/Doctor Voodoo, another major sorcerer in Marvel comics.
Clea is a resident of the Dark Dimension and the niece of Dormammu. In the comics, she eventually turns on Dormammu and goes on to become Doctor Strange’s wife. It’s unlikely that will happen here quite that fast, but with her being involved it would make sense to assume the Dark Dimension will play a role in the story again.
As for Tilda Swinton possibly returning as the Ancient One, that seemed like a given.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Spoilers
And the tweet as it relates to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Rocket's creator is the High Evolutionary, Drax is in for a big surprise when he discovers his daughter is alive. Rocket also gets a love interest in the form of Lylla. Nebula and Star Lord will grow into closer friends.
— Roger Wardell (@RogerWardell) May 8, 2019
If true, it sounds as though Rocket will be getting a lot of attention in the next film. That makes sense as he seems to be the true emotional heart of the series. And if the High Evolutionary – a notoriously maniacal villain in the comics – created Rocket, it would make sense he may have also created Lylla.
Oh yes, by the way, Lylla is an otter and the heir to a vast toy company in the comics. So, this sounds very much up James Gunn’s alley.
Drax discovering his daughter is alive, and Nebula softening towards Star-Lord are all things that sound very much like where this series would be heading.
As with anything such as these tweets, we suggest you take them with a grain of salt. This person – or persons – does have an amazing track record at the moment, so we’re willing to give them some credence.
Now we just wait for Marvel to announce some release dates and confirm some movies.
