Mezco at Toy Fair: One:12, 5 Points, and a lot more

The Mezco booth at Toy Fair 2019 was filled with a wide assortment of properties and product lines. The company once known primarily for its Living Dead Dolls line has definitely shown that it has so much more to offer.

In the One:12 line, it seems that it can handle just about anything these days when it comes to genres and properties. While personally, I can’t find the excitement in a figure of Diabolik, I heard others in the booth gushing about it, so clearly this line speaks to a lot of different people.

The standout for me, however, was most definitely the Black Bolt and Lockjaw. There was a lot of great figures on awesome, but something about that Lockjaw just spoke to me.

And anytime I get to see something from They Live it makes me smile.

While the Living Dead Dolls may no longer be the bread and butter of Mezco, the line is most certainly not forgotten. With a much heavier emphasis on licensed dolls these days, the standout for us was the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina doll. Simple to be sure, but going with that red dress really made her pop.

I always found a jack-in-the-box to be scary as a child. Mezco just makes it that much worse with its Burst-a-Box series of horror inspired jacks.

The Mezco Designer Series can cover just about anything, and this year it seems a lot of love is being paid to Batman. That’s actually a bit true licensed the show. We’ve been seeing a lot of ’66 Batman merchandise on the show floor. We’re certainly not complaining.

’89 Batman also seems to be getting a lot of love.

And the final product line is the all-new 5 Points series. These figures are a definite throwback to the figures of the 1970s and hitting properties we could have only dreamed of back then. With Space Ghost and Birdman represented here, we feel as though the Herculoids can’t be too far behind, and we’ll very much be here for them.

Stay tuned for even more coverage from Toy Fair 2017!
