Frozen 2 trailer – The world is a much darker place

The first Frozen 2 trailer has finally arrived.

It’s hard to believe, but it has been almost six years since Frozen took the world by storm. Now, at long last, we’re heading back to Arendelle and beyond it would seem. Elsa (Idina Menzel) seems to be working on some new users for her powers. Anna (Kristen Bell) still seems as risk-taking as ever. There isn’t much to go on for Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Olaf (Josh Gad), but both are accounted for in the footage. Yes, even Sven is back.

The tone of the teaser is a bit surprising. Seeing as Frozen went on to earn $1.276B globally, you would think Disney wouldn’t want to mess with the formula radically. Yes, making Else misunderstood again would be difficult and that would need to change, but even the color palette of this sequel seems to have changed immensely.

We’re definitely intrigued and want to see where this goes!

Frozen 2 hits theaters on Nov. 22.
