Here’s hoping you enjoy the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian because there is more of it on the way.
At a press junket recently to promote the upcoming live-action Star Wars series, Jon Favreau revealed that the second season had already completed its first week of shooting. It’s always nice to know an outlet has faith in an upcoming project, but this is definitely a bold move considering the costs involved.
It seems, however, that the faith is well palced as press outlets seeing footage at the junket are using words like “wow,” “expensive,” “thrilling,” and so on.
Star Wars is entering an interesting new phase in its history. With the end of the Skywalker Saga upon us, this means we are entering a period now where we dont’ have an overarching glue to hold everything together. Will fans be able to retain their love for the series without the characters and adventures we know?
We’re about to find out.
Disney Plus will launch on Nov. 12 with the first episode of The Mandalorian. There will then be seven more episodes releasing on every Friday.
