Another weekend has come to a close for theaters across the U.S., and it’s clear nothing is going to change any time soon.

First place this weekend went to Let Him Go with $4.1M. This opening number is notable as it’s the third-highest opening weekend since the beginning of the pandemic. (The highest was Tenet with $20.2M and second was The New Mutants with $7M.)

Come Play came in second with $1.73M for a new domestic total of $5.66M.

Third Place went to The War With Grandpa  with $1.51M, up slightly from last weekend. It now sits at $13.41M domestically and $18M globally.

Honest Thief landed in fourth place with $1.12M. Its new domestic total sits at $11.16M and globally it sits at $18.07M.

Fifth place went to Tenet with $905K for a new domestic total of $55.1M and a global haul of $350.7M off of a $200M budget.

The coronavirus in a steep climb once again, we don’t expect to see these numbers improve any time soon. And with Free Guy and Death on the Nile now both removed from the schedule, we wouldn’t be too surprised to hear of some theaters shutting back down once again.
