Black Friday – the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States – has long been considered the biggest shopping day of the year. Over the years the event has gotten bigger and bigger, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it looks as though 2020 will be a very different shopping experience. For instance, Walmart will be holding sales online first before moving over into its physical stores.

With just about every retailer offering deals, the smart Black Friday shopper starts planning weeks in advance. Those consumers don’t do something so pedestrian as waiting for the flyers to show up in their mail. They want all of the information in a convenient location so they can plot and plan at their leisure. Even with Black Friday not arriving until Nov. 27 this year, it’s never too early to start planning.

We’ve gathered up five sites that are essential to this strategy and will hopefully make your Black Friday Deal hunting that much less painful.

BestBlackFriday.com is one of the newest sites, but it seems to really trying to make a name for itself with useful tools. Beyond the mandatory collection of ad scans, it also offers a guide to the store hours for each chain, predictions of what it feels will be on offer during the event, sales by category, and a whole lot more. You should definitely add it to your list of sites to check out.

BlackFriday.com has one tool we really haven’t seen elsewhere and that is allowing you to quickly pull up all of the deals on the hottest items via a drop-down menu. No jumping from retailer to retailer to find the same item each time. This site will send you alerts when new ads are posted, show you store hours, let you know which deals are available online, and more.

DealNews is in the business of sharing deals throughout the entire year, but it has a dedicated section each year to help you prepare for Black Friday. It has the usual mixture of ways to filter information, scans of the ads and so on.

DealsPlus.com

DealsPlus doesn’t offer all of the tools of the other sites, but it’s easy to look up deals by product type and see all of the ad scans. Tools are nice, but sometimes you just want to dive in, and that’s what you can do with DealsPlus.

Black Friday Sites - GottaDeal - 2019

GottaDeal

Gotta Deal is another site that posts deals all year long, but its Black Friday section has everything you need for the big day.
