Come Play takes the top spot at the box office

Another weekend has come to a close for theaters across the U.S., and the blood bath of poor performances continue.

Come Play took the top spot this weekend with $3.15M, tying the ninth-place finisher for the same weekend a year ago.

Second place this weekend to the Liam Neeson action film, Honest Thief. It took in $1.35M for a new domestic total of $9.53M. Globally it sits at $14.58M.

The War With Grandpa came in third with $1.08M. It now stands at $11.28M domestically and $14.71M globally.

Fourth place went to Tenet with $885K for a new domestic total of $53.8M and a global haul of $347.1M off of a $200M budget.

The Empty Man landed in fifth place with $565K. It now sits at $2.26M domestically and $2.35M globally.

With cases of coronavirus in a steep climb once again, we don’t expect to see these numbers improve any time soon.
